It sounds like it’s possible that your father and my grandfather may have spent some time together or even served together side by side! Small world.

If you have any photos, you can send them to that address and I’ll upload them to this website. Please send them with captions if you have them.

Look forward to hearing from you!

        George,

Thank you for sending this information attaching the photo! Undoubtedly everyone who is connected to the 733rd is grateful for Logmeter’s Long Toms! It’s an absolute treasure, and we are forever indebted to your father for it.

I noticed that some of your photos did not attach properly because of the file size being too large. I would be very excited to see them and to be able to add them to the website. Please email them to me if you are able.

If you have any oral stories that you remember, or any other information about the 733rd it would be great if you could send that along as well. I’m sure everyone here would love to hear about it!

Thanks for reaching out and I look forward to hearing from you!

Thank you for connecting here! I’m glad you found us. Sorry for the late reply, I haven’t been monitoring this website as much as I should!

Please send any photos you have to my email so that I can include them here. If you have any captions for the photos please send those my way as well. Also, if you have any stories that you may have heard that would be interesting to include as well.

Thanks for posting this information about your grandfather! My apologies for the delayed response, my business has been consuming me seven days a week and I haven’t had much time to keep up with this website lately.

I would be very interested to see any photos you may have. It sounds like our grandfathers may have served side by side!

Please email me with any photos you may have and I will upload them to the website. If you have any captions or descriptions you could add, please send them along with the photos. Also, if you have any stories you know of please share them!

Welcome! Glad you found us. Do you know which battery your grandfather was in, or what he did specifically? Any history you have would be great!

If you would like to send me the photos via email I can upload them to this website for everyone to see. If you have any captions or descriptions, please send that along as well.

Please send them to the following address:

              sikse.com

Also, if you flip each photo over, it will often have a number printed on the back (and sometimes it will include other useful information). Sometimes this can help track where the photo was printed or add other useful pieces to the puzzle. If you are up for including this info as well, please send it with each photo.

I look forward to seeing your photos!

              Paul

                Joe,

Thanks for joining the website! I will talk to my friend Ambrose to see if he remembers anything and I’ll get back to you.

If you have any pictures you could share, I’m sure people here would be glad to see them!

I apologize for the late response – I didn’t see your post here.

Thanks for the compliments! I’m glad you found the site!

That info sounds great! You could either post the info here in the research section and I could integrate it into the site depending on where it might fit, or you could email it to me and I could integrate it. If you email it, I can accept higher resolution files (files posted here are limited to .5MB)

If you prefer to send it via email, you can email me at:

Also, it would be great if you could provide an introduction in the ‘introductions’ section of the forum!

                  Thanks!

                    Aaron,

Yes, I was actually able to speak with him on two occasions. I really enjoyed talking with him – he is really sharp and had some great stories to share. It was especially interesting for me to learn that he was with my grandfather when they were involved in the action that earned them their bronze star. I had never heard the story in detail so I really was thankful to him for sharing that.

I tried to connect him to Ambrose Little but I’m not sure if that connection ever happened. Do you know if they spoke?

Thank you for sharing these, Julian! Great photos! The image of the weapons on the beach is especially interesting. I have never seen a photo showing that.

Could you note any numbers or marks that might be stamped on the back of the images? These can help identify the location where they were processed, and can also help with timelines.

                      Thanks again for sharing these!

Welcome, Ann! Thank you for sharing your story.

The photos you shared are wonderful. They are the only color photos I know of that were taken by the 733rd during the war. Thank you again for sharing them!

More photos will be added in coming weeks – stick around!
