      Hello,

My name is Joe Landry and my father Edward F. Landry was assigned to the 733rd. I saw him in a few of the pictures from the collection of Ivo Schommer. He went into the service around May of 1943 and he was discharged in the summer of 1944. The story that we have heard is that he injured himself very badly as a result of a fall and he was sent back to the US. He was in transit at the time of the D-Day landings. If anyone has any information about this (such as in a diary), I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

      Joe Landry

        Joe,

Thanks for joining the website! I will talk to my friend Ambrose to see if he remembers anything and I’ll get back to you.

If you have any pictures you could share, I’m sure people here would be glad to see them!

        Paul
