My uncle, Thomas William Ciantra (1922-1957), served in the 733rd, Battery B. Thank you very much for putting together this site. I have a few photographs from his service which I will dig out and provide (identification of people in the photos would be appreciated). I did not know my uncle who died before I was born. Like many members of this unit he was from New England (Springfield, Mass.). My father (a Pacific Theater combat vet) said that his brother lost his hair in the army and did not talk about what he saw.

Thank you for connecting here! I’m glad you found us. Sorry for the late reply, I haven’t been monitoring this website as much as I should!

Please send any photos you have to my email so that I can include them here. If you have any captions for the photos please send those my way as well. Also, if you have any stories that you may have heard that would be interesting to include as well.
