My name is George Simeone. I am the son of Captain Peter Simeone MD.
He was the medical officer for the 733rd Field Artillery Battalion.
He was awarded a bronze star and he was the author of Logmeter’s Long Toms.
He had it published for the men in his outfit so they could add their own notes about their own experiences. I have and original copy of it and some newspaper photos of them tuning a captured German 88 and firing it at the Germans.

        George,

Thank you for sending this information attaching the photo! Undoubtedly everyone who is connected to the 733rd is grateful for Logmeter’s Long Toms! It’s an absolute treasure, and we are forever indebted to your father for it.

I noticed that some of your photos did not attach properly because of the file size being too large. I would be very excited to see them and to be able to add them to the website. Please email them to me if you are able.

If you have any oral stories that you remember, or any other information about the 733rd it would be great if you could send that along as well. I’m sure everyone here would love to hear about it!

Thanks for reaching out and I look forward to hearing from you!

Thank you for making this website! I hadn’t looked into my Great Grandfathers platoon before today and was happy to find this when I did! His name is Bill Gervais, He passed away about 20 years ago. I have the original photo of his. He is the one right beside the flag on the left. He retired to Spencerville, Ok. Married to Inez and had 3 daughters, 9 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

My name is Darren and my grandfather was in the 733rd during WW2. I am going through some of the pictures that were given to me by my aunt. I will post them as soon as I can. I can’t thank you enough for putting this website together. It has been really important to me to be able to read all the history that involved my grandfather. His name was Marvin Moll.
